Information for next lesson

Dear Students,

My name is René Larenas Moyano, and I will be this semester’s English Intermediate A teacher. I would like to tell you that you are very welcome to this course that will (hopefully) begin next Thursday, August 18th, from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. [Room 36], this implies the following,

(1) We will be having 1 lesson each of the following days:

Mondays, Lab. 21 (14:30 - 16:00) and Thursdays, Room 36 (8:30 - 10:00)

(1.1) These lessons will be exclusively dedicated for you to work on your evaluations. The idea is that you take this English course as a workshop, not a lecture.

(1.2) Originally these two lessons take 1.5 hours, however, they will be reduced to 1 hr and 10 min. The reason behind this: You take as long as you need to work on your evaluations, no more, no less.

(1.3) We will, also, begin all of the lessons by having a little discussion [for the sake of practising your language productive skills] about a video I bring to the class.

(2) For this next Thursday (Aug. 18th.) the very first lesson will be about administrative issues

(2.1) From the second lesson onwards we will be focused on developing productive linguistic abilities (i.e. Speaking and Writing) while most of the evaluations will be done in class. I will give you most of the class time to develop your autonomous work

(3) I beg you to please come to every single lesson you can on time. [try to be as punctual as possible]

(4) Once every lesson is finished, I will be sending you 2 items to this platform [u-cursos],

(4.1) The teaching material (PPT, Doc, PDF files) if required, and
(4.2) A 'Novedades' notification for you to have a more accurate description of what we will be doing in the next lesson

(5) Any questions you may have, either in English or Spanish, please feel free to write back.

See you this Thursday.

Best Regards
