Estimados y estimadas estudiantes,
Esperando que se encuentren bien, el equipo docente del Área de Idiomas se dirige
a Uds. con motivo de los cambios que hemos experimentado, tanto estudiantes como
docentes, a partir de la implementación de las clases en modalidad online.
Además de la lengua hablada, la comunicación no verbal juega un rol importantísimo
en el aprendizaje de idiomas y es por esto que nos gustaría que la tomáramos en
cuenta, en especial para aquellas actividades orales y/o en grupos. Como profesores
nos interesa mejorar la interacción entre los y las participantes de la clase, así como
potenciar la dinámica de esta, para de algún modo mitigar los efectos de la
despersonalización que puede producir la modalidad online.
Por estos motivos queremos invitarles este semestre otoño 2021 a participar
activamente de nuestras clases de inglés y francés, utilizando la cámara y micrófono
de sus dispositivos, en especial en aquellas actividades grupales y que requieren
retroalimentación inmediata. Asimismo, y, tal como se ha declarado en el catálogo de
cursos, deberán activar sus cámaras y micrófonos en las instancias evaluativas de
prueba oral y examen oral.
Lo anterior es sin perjuicio de aquellos casos en que, por razones ajenas a ustedes,
se encuentren impedidos/as de utilizar la cámara y/o micrófono durante la clase.
Por último, y en caso de que no utilicen la cámara de su dispositivo, por favor usen
una foto actualizada como avatar con su nombre y apellido. Esto, con el objeto de
poder identificar a todos y todas los/as participantes del curso.
