Abstract
Revenue Management: A review of the key concepts
This presentation will look at revenue management (also known as Yield Management) and the basic tools used by the revenue manager: optimum dynamic pricing, overselling, trading-up, discount allocation, and re-planing. The business rationale and the underlying OR models that guide decision-making for each will be discussed, together with research opportunities in this fast growing and important application area for OR.
