Hi everyone,
I hope you're all doing well!
This week, we kicked off our sessions with some practical speaking exercises using exam-style questions. We worked on building strong responses, managing our timing, and describing city areas, landmarks, and even role-playing situations that could happen on public transport. I also shared some high-scoring model answers and gave feedback on your speaking practice.
Next, we dove into punctuation and capitalization rules in English, comparing them to what we're used to in Spanish, with some fun online exercises. We ended by going over the first part of the handout on travel and hypothetical situations, which you can find on the platform.
I’ve also set up a fun activity on Quizziz to help you get the hang of if-clauses in the context of Units 1 and 2. There's some optional homework available too, summarizing the vocabulary and grammar we've covered so far. It’s not graded, but I strongly recommend giving it a go.
I’m excited to see you all in our next session!
Take care,
Prof. Jordán Masías O.

Hello everyone,

In terms of vocabulary, we reinforced how to give directions and city-related vocabulary. We did several exercises, which you can find in the U-Cursos Enlaces and in the PowerPoint presentation titled "Getting Around" that we have been working on.
Keep up the great work, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
