Dear Students,

For our lesson for today (Oct. 20th.)

(1) We have already dealt with our sixth [and final] session working with the 'Wiki Article: Body/Table of Contents and Further Readings' documents

(1.1) In the ‘Wiki Article: Table of contents / Further Readings’ PPT document [located in the 'Material Docente' section] you will find the framework of reference for constructing your body article [sub-headings]. Also, you will find its corresponding rubric and some examples from your faculty classmates.

(2) Please remember, that you may upload your Elevator Speech video [.mp4 format, ideally] in the ‘Tareas’ Section. You will get a top mark of 5.0 if you do it before the end of the semester.

(3) Please remember, that you may upload your Biodata in the ‘Tareas’ Section. You will get a top mark of 5.0 if you do it before the end of the semester.

For our next lesson (Oct 24th.)

(1) We will be working on our lesson that will be divided into two parts as we already know, (a) Linguistic (some grammatical structures in communicative contexts for the most part and autonomous work for all of the asynchronous evaluations) and (b) Communicative (video debates)

(1.1) For the second part of this next lesson, please, watch the following video (it contains English Subtitles),

‘What the Bilingual Brain can teach us about Code-Switching', https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W48ORvJ7uqM

(2.1) Once you have watched it, please think about the following questions:

(2.1.1) Can you tell us how did you learn English when you were younger? And how did you learn Spanish?
(2.1.2) What is code-switching? [explain in your own words]
(2.1.3) Have you ever experienced code-switching [Eng-Sp]? Under what circumstances?
(2.1.4) With the information provided by the video, comment on one point that you think is relevant. Provide two reasons for this relevance.

(3) We will also deal with our first session on the 'Wiki Article' ['Proofreading' and 'Editing'] activity.

In case of doubt, please do not hesitate to contact me back,

Best Regards
