Dear Students,

For our lesson for today (Oct 27th.)

(1) We have already dealt with our second and final session working with the 'Wiki Article: Proofreading and Editing' part which constitutes our last week.
.
(1.1) There is already a 'tareas' section where you can upload your Wiki Article. You've got until this next Nov. 25th to deliver it.

(2) Please remember, that you may upload your Elevator Speech video [.mp4 format, ideally] in the ‘Tareas’ Section. You will get a top mark of 5.0 if you do it before the end of the semester.

(3) Please remember, that you may upload your Biodata in the ‘Tareas’ Section. You will get a top mark of 5.0 if you do it before the end of the semester.

For our next lesson (Nov. 3rd.)

(1) We will be working on our lesson that will be divided into two parts as we already know, (a) Linguistic (some grammatical structures in communicative contexts for the most part and autonomous work for all of the asynchronous evaluations) and (b) Communicative (video debates)

(1.1) For the second part of this next lesson, please, watch the following video (it contains English Subtitles),

 ‘Immigration Policy Explainer', https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mymJTC5YRkE

(2.1) Once you have watched it, please think about the following questions:

(2.1.1) Can we establish similarities/differences between Ex-President's Trump immigration policies and immigration issues in Chile?
(2.1.2) Will building a wall between countries' frontiers help to solve the immigration issue?
(2.1.3) With the information provided by the video, comment on one point that you think is relevant. Provide two reasons for this relevance.

(3) We will also deal with our first session on the 'Essay Writing: Introduction' [Thesis Statement] activity. Also, this session will mark the beginning of our work with the writing of #2 Argumentative Essays

In case of doubt, please do not hesitate to contact me back,

Best Regards
