Class Summaries

Dear all,

During our third week of classes, we wrapped up the final aspects of the "Getting Around" unit. We focused primarily on developing speaking skills related to navigating the city and handling various situations that may arise. Additionally, we concentrated on the function of speculating about situations, exploring the use and structure of "If" clauses through various interactive and written exercises. You can find all the relevant material in the "Material Docente" section on U-Cursos.

In our second session, we briefly delved into aspects of punctuation and capitalization in English, working through several exercises. This was aimed at helping you develop the following skills:

  • Being able to talk about places to go and things to do, make arrangements, etc.
  • Use of the first conditional.
  • Use of relative clauses: who, which, that, whose.
  • Rules of basic punctuation and spelling (capitalization).

If you have any questions or need further clarification, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Best regards,
Prof. Jordán Masías O.

Hello everyone,

During the second week of classes, we continued with Unit 1, Getting Around. We worked more on phrasal verbs and reviewed aspects of the past tense. We also began to introduce the topic of talking about conditions using if clauses and also the functions of the past tense; prepositions, and indirect questions,

In terms of vocabulary, we reinforced how to give directions and city-related vocabulary. We did several exercises, which you can find in the U-Cursos Enlaces and in the PowerPoint presentation titled "Getting Around" that we have been working on.

Keep up the great work, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Best regards,

Prof. Masías O.
