Dear Students,

For our lesson for today (Nov. 29th.)

(1) The PPT file and audio files for 'Lesson 10' can be found in the ‘Material Docente’ section

(2) The link for our lesson recording can be found in the ‘Clase Virtual’ section. You just click on the play icon to watch it

(3) The 'Video 1' and 'Video 2' evaluations' material (Instructions and Rubrics) is already uploaded in the 'Material Docente' section

(3.1) The 'Video 1' and 'Video 2' entries have been already created in the 'Tareas' section for you to upload your video. The primary delivery date for Video 1 is on Nov 10th. The primary delivery date for Video 2 on Nov 24th

(4) The Final Oral Test material has already been uploaded. We will create a simulation session for you to get to know the procedures for this evaluation. This simulation will be taking place next Jan 10th and 12th 2022.

(4.1) The procedure for this evaluation will be almost the same as Lv III. Your oral performance will be evaluated in the form of a synchronous conversation (3-4 minutes), which means that you will need to practice with a classmate.

(4.1.1) You were given a document that contains a number of topics and their corresponding questions to initiate a conversation. Once you are in the test, a topic will be selected for you randomly. You need to cover this topic in a conversation from 3-4 min.

(4.2) The Final Oral Test will take place next Jan. 17th and 19th 2022

For our next lesson (Dec. 1st)

(1) We will be working on our ninth synchronous lesson that will be divided into two parts as we already know, (a) Linguistic (some grammatical structures in communicational contexts for the most part and autonomous work for all of the asynchronous evaluations) and (b) Communicative (video debates)

(1.1) For the second part of this next lesson, please, watch the following video (it contains English Subtitles),  'Biochemistry Undergraduate Research' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pa_49uFsLhs

Be sure also to visit this page to inform yourselves about the SURE (Undergraduate Research Experience) program at Stonehill College that is key to this video activity: https://www.stonehill.edu/offices-and-services/sure/

(2.1) Once you have watched it, please think about the following questions:

(2.1.1) Do you think the SURE program at Stonehill College helps undergraduate students to get relevant laboratory experience? Why yes? Why not?

(2.1.2) With the information provided by the video, comment on one point that you think is relevant. Provide two reasons for this relevance.

(3) The fifth and sixth blog entries are already uploaded in the next link: section6english4fcqf.blogspot.com/  for you to start your work.

(4) The rubric format is already explained and it was captured in this session's video if you are interested to take a look

In case of doubt, please do not hesitate to contact me back,

Best Regards
