Tsinghua University launches a Global Summer School of 2020 from July 20 to 28, 2020. The summer school is open to students (undergraduates or graduates) from Tsinghua partner institutions and affiliated alliances worldwide. It will offer full scholarships for eligible students. Students from your prestigious university are welcomed to apply this program, we believe it will be a good opportunity and a special way for the students to experience China.
We would like to share with you some important information about this program:
This Summer School, supported by 16 Tsinghua departments and institutions, is a 20-credit-hour program covering diverse topics including the economy, education, society, climate, technology like artificial intelligence, environment and leadership. Through a tailor-made curriculum featuring both theoretical lectures and innovative and interactive cultural activities, participants will explore the interconnected challenges facing China and the world today. The program is conducted through group discussions, key lectures and seminars across multiple online platforms with English as the instructional language.
Students who complete the 16-credit hours and fulfill all learning requirements will gain 1 academic credit, and may also have the chance to earn an extra MOOC certificate if they complete the MOOC studies component of the program.
Besides, there will be exciting virtual tours and performances as below:
Virtual Tour of Tsinghua History Museum and campus
Virtual Tour of Tsinghua Art Museum and Graduating Students Works Exhibition
Virtual Tour of Huawei/Lenovo
Virtual Performance: Chinese Flute Robot Band

Regarding the application process, eligible students are required to complete the application form along with other application materials (one page curriculum vitae, full academic transcript, passport information page) online via the website:

Application materials should be submitted before July 15, 2020.

We will send you the concrete agenda of this summer school when it is ready. Although 200 students are to be recruited according to the preliminary plan, but most of these wonderful lectures, seminars and other activities are open for the public through live broadcast platforms, only some discussions are just for those students, which means even though some applicants can’t be in the list, they also can watch these public lectures and seminars.
