  2. How can you see yourself in this process?
  3. What makes your major something that contributes to the world’s benefit?
  4. In the case of Chile, how can your career contribute to the changes in our country?

- Article: Restore Free Education at the UWI! students read the article about the consequences of charging tuition frees at the University of West Indies in Barbados and Jamaica. Then they answer the comprehension questions. Article located in Unit 6: New Challenges of Education in Material Docente

- Reading Comprehension

- Students read the story "Girl" by Jamaica Kincaid (The story is written by Antiguan author Jamaica Kincaid in 1978, a few years before independence from Great Britain). (located in Unit 5: Gender Roles and Stereotypes) 

- Students answer the comprehension questions. Remember to read the text to get a general idea of the meaning. Do not worry if you do not understand every word.

- Students can watch the author read the story: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHr1HYW0mKE

- HOMEWORK: finish reading and answer questions. We will check answers next class
